Asleep with Flu

Madelyn had a flu for several days, and ended up missing about 4 days of school--her first-ever sick days in two-and-a-half years of attending. And Mommy got the bug too. :(

Of course being sick is not fun, but she looks adorable where she fell asleep on the couch with her hands under her cheek. Luckily this flu did not manifest with any "bodily functions," it was just a high fever, chills, and achiness (which seemed to be magnified intensely for the pregnant lady).

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day I got "crafty" and we made our own heart-shaped pizzas for dinner.


Madelyn enjoyed being able to choose her own toppings, which consisted only of a few slices of turkey pepperoni and a sprinkling of cheese. We encouraged her to add more cheese but she wasn't interested. Meanwhile, the "grown-up" pizzas were smothered in it.

 

We also decided to make brownies, a perfect Valentine's Day treat!
