Happy Halloween!!!

We enjoyed having our good friends over for dinner, trick-or-treating, and hot cocoa.

Trick or Treatathon

My friend/co-worker and I ran a Halloween-themed 5k race, then both of our daughters did the kids' run afterward.

Key and I were lucky enough to have a fairly dry run, but the rain returned just in time for Madelyn's loop.

It was a 1.5k run for the kids, and I could see Madelyn getting tired toward the end. 

Rowynn kept encouraging her to keep going, it was really sweet. 

Almost there! She has on her pink skeleton costume, mostly hidden under the sweatshirt. 

They did it!
Thank you to Bonnie and Dale for coming along to watch all the kids while the grown-ups were running and keep August out of the rain while the little girls were running!

Pumpkin Amusement Park!

Bauman Farms in Woodburn: it's more like an amusement park than a pumpkin patch!

We didn't even do all of the activities that were available, and spent over four fun-filled hours there. We actually didn't even get to the pumpkin patch! 

The swing zipline was a highlight, although the line was really long. 

 

Madelyn and I both really enjoyed this cool slide too.

 

The bug trains whipped around really fast, pulled by a large ATV-type vehicle.

We had the worst seats, since debris spit up in my face sometimes. 

 

The Jumping Pillow was a unique feature.

 

Forget the ball pit, this is the Nut House! Madelyn is making a "nut angel!"

Basically a giant tub of choking hazards.

It was a pretty fun place!

Shipwreck

We had to spend the day at the coast while Kezia had another knee surgery in Astoria (this time her other ACL was torn). Thankfully some great friends joined us and we enjoyed a cold, windy day at the beach!

First we checked out the Wreck of the Peter Iredale, which our friends had not seen before.

We also found a fantastic place for lunch in Astoria (The Supper Club) and walked around in Seaside a bit.

Pumpkins

After picking Madelyn up from school while I was at work, Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Dale decided to stop by the pumpkin patch on this sunny day.
