Enchanted Forest

We invited the daughter of our new BFF's to join us at Enchanted Forest and they had SO much fun. Much more fun than had it been our family alone, and it relieved Gary and me of the duty of feigning interest in every attraction. The experience was well worth bringing a guest, and Aquilla was a pleasure to have along.

This time we splurged on the unlimited ride bracelets for the kids, which was also a great value and prevented us having to limit their fun.

Madelyn was a little disturbed after the log ride and didn't want to go again at first (which we found odd since Splash Mountain was one of her favorites at Disneyland and this is more tame).  But I'm glad she mustered the courage to go a second time with me. Having her along actually helped me be an example of bravery before the big drop. :)

Aquilla is in the orange poncho; she had no fear!

Woo hoo, we did it!
After doing the Ice Mountain Bobsleds once with Gary, the two girls went again alone! But we discovered from our vantage point that a random boy was crammed into their car with them. ??

CUTE girls!

We also treated Aquilla and Madelyn to these adorable little puppies in mini carriers. I just thought they would love having a little matching "pet," and my assumption was definitely correct.

Aquilla's parents and little brother brought dinner to our house to top off a really fun day!

Cowgirl

We went to a really cute party for some friends' 3-year-old twins. It was an old west theme, and I loved it so much I think I'll copy it for a future party. I posted these photos straight from my phone, so they aren't the best quality.

Madelyn looked awful cute in her cowgirl hat and bandanna. Darn tootin'!

She sure looks like an outlaw!

Yee-haw!

What a darling cowgirl!

Oregon Garden

We took a picnic and wandered around The Oregon Garden near Silverton.

Madelyn is the sweetest sister. She loves August and is very helpful and adorable with him.
